Move: Fitness and Yoga Classes for New and Expecting Families
We envision programs that promote and support physical health and wellness, such as our signature prenatal and postnatal yoga classes, and other fitness programs specifically designed for pregnant and postpartum women. There is no better time to start taking the best possible care of yourself than when you are pregnant.
Yoga not your cup of tea? Our goal is to offer a range of programs that fit the variety of needs that women may have with regard to their physical health during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Current Yoga and Fitness Offerings:
While we’re working toward the creation of a dedicated non-profit maternity resource center that would provide the programs outlined above and more, we are proud to offer the following programs in partnership with Project Yoga Richmond:
PRENATAL YOGA – Tuesdays: 9:15 am – 10:45 am
BABY & ME YOGA – Tuesdays: 11:00 am – 12:15 PM

MINDFUL MOMS RESEARCH STUDY
Nurture is currently collaborating with VCU School of Nursing in “Mindful Moms,” a research study exploring the effect of prenatal yoga on specific measures of mood and health in pregnant women with depressive symptoms. Click here to learn more.
