Today, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, eliminating the constitutional guarantee to access legal abortion.
At Nurture we believe that all people have a fundamental human right to bodily autonomy throughout the reproductive life cycle. Abortion care is an essential part of the continuum of reproductive health care, and restrictions on reproductive autonomy disproportionately harm under-resourced and historically excluded communities. People with the capacity to conceive have an inherent right to determine whether and when to have children, and to have access to quality health care and support throughout the reproductive life cycle, free from coercion or discrimination.
The board and staff of Nurture is committed to working with allies across our community to ensure the right of all people to make autonomous decisions about childbearing and birth.
